The financial services industry in Europe has seen a boost of female representation at the board and executive committee level. This is a bit surprising, as every other sector in Europe has yet to improve amongst female executives.
23 percent of board directors at companies in European capital markets are females, and 16 percent of executive committee members are women.
In 2015 there were more women added to board/executive positions than there were leaving. Although there is still disparity between the amount of women in executive positions, this shows that things are moving in the right direction.
