Flyer miles are one of the most highly desired credit card benefit, and it’s no wonder why. Who wouldn’t want to take a vacation on the cheap side? Here are a few cards that you might want to look into so you can get benefits for your next flight.
- United Mileage Plus Explorer Card. At any United or StarAlliance partner, you can get a free checked bag, priority boarding, and two one-time use passes to the lounge each year. For every dollar spent on United tickets, you earn two points, and you also earn one point per every dollar spent on other purchases. Additionally, if you spend $1,000 within the first three months, you can get 30,000 bonus points.
- Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card. In addition to getting points when you purchase tickets through Southwest, you’ll also get extra points when booking a hotel or rental car through any partner companies (Hertz and Hyatt, for instance). If you spend over $2,000 within the first three months, you can earn 50,000 bonus points, and you also get 6,000 bonus points each sign-up anniversary.
