From 2011 to 2015, Wells Fargo workers were caught opening over 1.5 million bank accounts and 565 million credit card accounts unknowingly to bank members. Now people are freaking out and wondering if their accounts will negatively affect their credit scores.
When you suspect that an account is illegally opened in your name, you absolutely have to check with your bank or card company to check if this is the case. If so, you should take any necessary precautions to minimize the risk against your score.
